Billie Mahoney, native of Kansas City, nearly forty years in New York City, dance faculty of The Juilliard School, featured performer on major television including the Tonight Show, Ed Sullivan Show, Jackie Gleason, Arthur Godfrey and Friends, and many more. As single dance act toured with Bob Hope, Lionel Hampton including the Apollo Theater. Musical theater with Bob Fosse. Gregory Hines called her a “Legend in tap dance” at Kansas City’s Folly Theater, 2000. Featured in the Palm Springs Follies, California, 2002-03; NYC Legacy Award, 2009; UMKC Alumni Achievement Award, Adjunct professor: UMKC Conservatory of Music & Dance. Currently Dance faculty: City In Motion & KC Ballet Todd Bolender Center. Director/choreographer of BIllie Mahoney Dance Troupe. 5:30 pm – Intermediate (prerequisite: Rhythm Time Steps, Shim Sham, Soft Shoe)
6:30 pm – Advanced (riffs, paddle and roll; cramp roll and wing time steps, accomplished Intermediate class routines).
